Light On Light Through

Artist Phil Dobson is presenting his exhibition Light On Light Through at Bremen´s Antiquariat Carola Bintakies from January 10 until February 10. Dobson studied architecture before moving to Fine Art and History of Art at Reading University. His work has and still occasionally refers to architectural processes but also an interest in images derived from science and technology. Sound design courtesy of Jens Mahlstedt.

Techno Tradition Chemnitz

The Beatconnect crew are activists responsible for legendary Chemnitz clubs Achtermai and Lait Solaire as well. Opera House

If there was one groundbreaking club on a thursday night in Hamburg then rewind to 1988 and the Opera House at Grünspan, Grosse Freiheit, running ten years altogether. Grünspan itself is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary so the original Opera House team will be popping by to congratulate and join the festivities. 25 Years Tunnel Anniversary

Hamburg´s Tunnel club opened its gates 25 years ago in a former sex club on Grosse Freiheit. Jens Mahlstedt was their first resident DJ. The Tunnel has moved a few doors down the road towards the Reeperbahn and will be celebrating quite heavily on November 17. DJs include Da Hool, DJ Dean plus all these collegues. Yeah Yeah Club

Yeah Yeah Club will be returning to its homebase after four furious Breminale nights. Residents Jens Mahlstedt and Gu (Urban Jazz Grooves, Our Label Records) will be dropping Disco, Jazz Funk and HipHop at noon (Theater am Goetheplatz) once again on October 13. Vinyl only, dancers only. And friends of a good drink or two of course.

Modepreis X

X-Day is due soon. The illustrious Modepreis Hannover, issue number ten, will be rocking Expo Plaza on September 29. 30 collections and a few surprises are to enter the catwalk rounding up a decade of experimental style. Our hosts this year are Natalie Piu Mukherjee and Flowin´ Immo.

Two experienced dancing teachers will be teaming up in Bremen´s Shagall: Jens Lissat and Jens Mahlstedt are to court Nikaa on September 8 who herself is a master of all disciplines on the dancefloor. Be prepared for a turbulent night of ReUnion Classics.

Die Komplette Palette

Bremen´s Die Komplette Palette has got to be the coolest place to be outdoors this extra hot summer: The stage, the bars, furniture, lighting, literally everything is self-made and fully recycable. Flowin´ Immo has asked to select a few records and drop them right on the river Weser. We will do so accordingly and with pleasure on August 25 at Dreimal ist Bremer Recht, kicking off at 3pm for twelve hours.
