Time for another class reunion on April 27: “20 Years Of Professional DJing” is on again at Edelfettwerk, reminiscing over Hamburg´s classic clubs Opera House, Unit, Palladium and 6am Eternal, including sets by both Jensibabies Lissat and Mahlstedt, Acidizer, Martink, Dave X, Thorsten TCK, Yanny, Pari Dee and Revil O from Hanover.

Yeah Yeah Club goes jazzahead!

The spring edition of the Yeah Yeah Club connects with the opening night of this year´s jazzahead! at Bremen´s Theater am Goetheplatz on April 13. This renowned music fair and festival is a constantly growing gathering of international Jazzers and Jazzettes. So let the beats and moves of Jens and Gu float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.

use-less: Slow Fashion gegen Verschwendung und hässliche Kleidung

How does the fashion design process work? And how can fashion be produced and consumed in a way that saves resources and proves to be ecologically sound? The interactive exhibition „use-less: Slow Fashion gegen Verschwendung und hässliche Kleidung“ at Hafenmuseum Speicher XI (Bremen) is being put together by design students of the Hochschule Hannover including a soundtrack by Jens Mahlstedt. The exhibition under the patronage of Vivienne Westwood opens on March 22 at 7pm.

Noir 90

Soul brother No. 1 Sean Patrick (TOFU Berlin) and family are heading stateside in a minute or two. So it´s time to say bye bye baby at TOFU homebase Bohnengold on February 8. Music by Sauvage World, Jens Mahlstedt, Local Suicide and of course Mr. Patrick himself.

Yeah Yeah Club

Bremen Zwei presents the winter edition of the Yeah Yeah Club on January 12. Residents Jens Mahlstedt and Gu (Urban Jazz Grooves, Our Label Records) will be dropping Disco, Jazz Funk and HipHop at noon (Theater am Goetheplatz) piling up 100 kilos of vinyl only. Dancers only – and friends of a good drink or two of course.

Light On Light Through

Artist Phil Dobson is presenting his exhibition Light On Light Through at Bremen´s Antiquariat Carola Bintakies from January 10 until February 10. Dobson studied architecture before moving to Fine Art and History of Art at Reading University. The Beatconnect crew are activists responsible for legendary Chemnitz clubs Achtermai and Lait Solaire as well. So heading east to Saxony for another gathering with cool guys Ronny, Dirk, Falko and Enny on December 29 is a must: Give it up for Techno Tradition Chemnitz at Oberdeck, a top floor location overlooking the city.
